Hi, I’m Kelby and I run a show called Split Wires.

This show started out as a love of rock, and anything EDM. I’d always wanted to do a radio show with that, and here I am now. Currently in Season 3, the show airs from 10 PM to 12AM on Monday nights on Kutztown University Radio. A special thanks goes out to them for giving me a place where I can bring this music out to the world.

This show was the winner of the Fall 2017 semester award for most live listeners in total (157 listeners), and for best production work (for both for this show and my production work in KUR in general).

How Do I Produce The Show?

I either produce this live on air in studio during the Spring and Fall semesters at KU, or record my show at home during the summer and winter semesters and play that back on KUR at show time. Audio quality is an important thing to me, so whenever I can, I use my big CD collection to play my music on air. If I don’t have a song on CD, I use lossless copies of songs, usually obtained as FLAC or AIFF files. Other than that, I use 320kbps CBR encoded MP3 files.
